The 2014 RX 350 is now available with Siri Eyes Free Mode, which allows the use of voice commands to take and make calls, get directions, compose text messages and more. A rear 115-volt household power outlet is also newly available.
What Features in the 2014 Lexus RX 350 Are Most Important?
The base RX 350 is powered by a 270-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The F Sport model has the same engine, but it’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the base model, but all-wheel drive is available (and standard on the F Sport model).
Significant standard features include LED daytime running lights, fabric upholstery, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, spindle-style grille, real wood trim, a sliding and reclining split-bench rear seat, foglights, perforated black leather upholstery with white contrast stitching (F Sport), 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a power liftgate, automatic dual-zone air conditioning and a six-CD audio system with iPod connectivity and Bluetooth streaming audio.
Significant available features include high-intensity-discharge headlights, a mesh grille, heated and ventilated front seats, a black headliner and aluminum pedals (F Sport), head-up display, power moonroof, Mark Levinson premium audio system, heated steering wheel, power-folding side mirrors, leather upholstery, 19-inch wheels, a navigation system with backup camera and dual-screen rear entertainment.
Standard safety features include antilock brakes, 10 airbags, an electronic stability system and an emergency communication system with a one-year trial subscription. Optional safety features include a precollision system with adaptive cruise control and a blind spot warning system.
Should I Buy the 2014 Lexus RX 350?
The 2014 Lexus RX 350 is extremely comfortable and a pleasure to drive. While there are some missteps – such as a mixture of high-end wood trim with cheap-looking plastics, and an infotainment system that’s not very intuitive – its mixture of practical interior storage and otherwise generous features make it a winner for families.
